Debt Advisors

Before receiving any help from the Community Centre for Debt Advice in Staplehurst you will need to make an appointment. You can do this by telephoning the office on 01580 893583 and leaving your contact details on the answer-phone. An advisor will then ring you back to make an appointment at a mutually convenient time.

Your consultation will take place in our office - on the upper floor of the Village Centre building in Staplehurst and you will be seen by a team of  2 advisors. They will spend some time getting to understand your situation and how the problem can be tackled. No decisions are taken out of your hands. The advisors do just that - advise. If necessary they will write to your creditors on your behalf, but only with your written permission. Our aim is to take some of the burden of your situation, although we will encourage you to take responsibility for and understand the causes of your dilemma.

It may be that once your situation has been assessed you will need to make an appointment for another session with the advisors. At this point we cannot guarantee that you will see the same 2 people but we will do our best to ensure that one advisor sees you through the process of sorting out your debts from start to finish.
